Your Anaesthetist will look after you during your anaesthetic and during the initial phase of your recovery. The type of anaesthetic that you will require depends on your health and the nature and duration of surgery.
The Anaesthetist will ask you about:
- If you have fasted for your operation
- Your general health and current medication
- Any previous illnesses and/or operations
- Any allergies
You may be asked to sign a consent form for the Anaesthetist.
